Who we are and what we do
Hula Hoop Canada is based in Ottawa, Ontario and is dedicated to making high quality and fabulous looking hula hoops for you to enjoy hoop dancing.
We want you to love using your hoop. We want you to pick up your hoop everyday and hoop dance. And so you need to get a hoop that that will be a good fit for you, for your height, body type and your level of experience.
We believe everyone can learn to hoop with the right size hoop. Hooping is good exercise and a great form of expression, and most of all its fun.
Sophie Latreille, owner of HulaHoopCanada, has been hoop dancing since 2005 and teaching hooping since 2006. She”s made thousands of hoops for thousands of happy hoopers and has come to know what the best size and weight of hoop is for each size and shape of person.

Sophie currently teaches beginner and intermediate hoop classes in Ottawa. She is also a professional free-lance circus performer and manages bookings for Mini Cirque and Fire Weavers and Ottawa Circus. In addition to this, she gives back to the community by hosting a free circus jam during the summers in collaboration with the City of Ottawa.
